We begin our first day with a drive out to visit Candi Muara Takus, an ancient Buddhist temple compound. After exploring the area, we continue on to a river village on the Kampar River for local food and fun on the river. We make the drive back to Pekanbaru after dark, arriving back to your hotel. Those who are still feeling adventurous can go explore some nighttime food spots with a local guide.

Day two begins with a drive out to another local tourist village near the city. We will explore the river with a local guide, play with elephants at the village’s local preserve, and enjoy local dance and food.

We return after dark with a little more time left than Day One. This is a great time to hit some evening food spots and we have a list of choices that you can try out.

Our final day begins at the local market as you hunt down some souvenirs and keepsakes and experience the traditional markets of Indonesia. Afterward we head to a local fishing spot to see how Indonesians fish and try our hand at catch and release fishing.

We conclude our tour program in the evening with an appreciation gift and wrap up celebration.
